UNIT 1 PHYSICAL AND PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION

Hi Guys!!

Thank you so much for taking part on the Survey I prepared for you.

I really appreciate the fact that you took it seriously and you gave a deep thought to what you were writing.

I have gone through all your answers and I have realized how eager and enthusiastic most of you are to start working.

That's why I have decided to post some different resources to help you with the vocabulary we have been working on this last couple of days. You will also find different materials to help you work on the skills we will be focusing on this year.

OTHER WORDS YOU MIGHT FIND USEFUL

  • IMPROVING YOUR READING SKILLS:

One of the best ways to improve your reading skills as well as your vocabulary is to get used to reading Newspapers in English Language. It doesn't mean that you have to read the whole newspaper but just find those articles you are interested in and try to get the general idea. It's not about understanding every single word but you will soon realize the more your read the more you understand.

Why don't you start with this one?

  • IMPROVING YOUR LISTENING SKILLS:
However, if you are interested in improving your listenings skills, nothing better than watching some short videos. There are lots of interesting websites for that. Youtube can also be a really good source. I think a good way to work on this kind of videos is to watch them for the first time without subtitles and try to get the general mening. Once you've done that, play it again, this time remember to set English subtitles on.

Let's start with an easy one.

  • IMPROVING YOUR WRITING SKILLS:
Writing is probably one of the most difficult skills for English Learners. The best tool to improve our writing is to practice it as much as possible. Think about what you are writing and try to put the vocabulary learnt in class into practice.

If you want to work on describing people. Leave your comment here on one of the people in the picture below. You can talk not only about their physical appearance but also their personality.

I would love to read you comments!

  • SING ALONG
Music can be English learners Best Friend. Here you have the song we were working on last Friday. Listen to it again and try to answer the questions on your worksheet.
